When fear, outrage, and urgency dominate the air around us, it becomes easy—almost inevitable—to lose touch with our own humanity and the humanity of others. Many of us feel activated, exhausted, numb, or pulled in competing directions: Show up. Stay safe. Speak out. Rest. Protect. Love.
This 6-session learning circle is a space to slow down together and practice what it means to stay human in a dehumanizing time—without bypassing grief, denying reality, or burning ourselves out.
Rooted in reflection, shared wisdom, and gentle practices, this circle is not about fixing the world. It’s about forming people who can remain present, grounded, and faithful within it.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Each session will include:
A short framing reflection
Optional readings (including excerpts from The Tears of Things by Richard Rohr)
Guided questions for personal and communal reflection
Simple practices you can carry into daily lifeExpect hands-on fun, supportive staff, and a mix of structured activities and open play. This is a space where campers can move, make, imagine, and grow.
Who This Is For
Feel overwhelmed, activated, or emotionally taxed by what’s happening around us
Care deeply about justice, dignity, and the well-being of their neighbors
Want space to process without being pushed toward a particular political stance
Are seeking faith-rooted (but not dogmatic) ways of staying present and grounded
Long for community that can hold grief, anger, hope, and uncertainty together
You do not need to be an expert, activist, or theologian. Curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to listen are enough.
When: February 2026,
