Rooted Mosaic is a boutique coaching and consulting practice dedicated to helping individuals, teams, and organizations cultivate intercultural agility, identity clarity, and deeper rootedness in their collective story.
We believe that when people are grounded in who they are and open to the richness of difference, authentic growth and connection can take root. Through personalized coaching, intercultural development assessments (IDI), and facilitated dialogue, Rooted Mosaic equips leaders and communities to engage across cultures with curiosity, courage, and humility.
Our approach integrates story, systems, and self-awareness to foster spaces of belonging—where each person’s unique story becomes part of something greater. Like a mosaic, every distinct piece matters. Together, they create something whole, beautiful, and deeply rooted.
About Julia Van Der Werf
Founder, Rooted Mosaic
Julia Van Der Werf is an intercultural leadership coach, administrative strategist, and advocate for belonging. She founded Rooted Mosaic to help individuals and organizations become deeply rooted in who they are while being planted in diversity.
With more than two decades of experience across schools, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations, Julia blends systems thinking with relational insight. Her background in administration and operations allows her to bring structure and clarity to complex environments, while her coaching and advocacy work help people engage identity, culture, and difference with courage and care.
Guided by curiosity, conviction, and compassion, Julia works to build spaces where truth and belonging can coexist—where people and systems align around equity, dignity, and shared growth.
